Upright & Protract Tipped Molars Using Temporary Anchorage Device
Temporary Anchorage Device (TAD) is a small titanium pin that inserted into the alveolar bone to provide additional anchorage for orthodontic treatment. It is useful for space closure, tooth uprighting, open bite correction, molar distalization, or a number of other applications. These procedures some times do not require needles (just topical anesthetics) and patient experiences virtually no pain postoperatively. It is very easy to remove the pin after treatment is done.
